Franciscan Charities runs a soup kitchen out of their church in Newark. Rita Ricacardi, from Livingston NJ, was looking to "give back" and with the help of Noel and Pam they were able to connect with the soup kitchen and make sandwiches every Friday. It first started with 50 sandwiches and then it started to grow, she then invited her friends to join her. Hilb Group (Formerly E.B. Cohen) was able to assist with the abundance of sandwiches by contributing a donation. As of today, the Sandwich Project are making about 250-300 sandwiches every Friday. As time progesses, the sandwich project would like to create a sandwich club at the office on Fridays, where they are hoping others in the office will donate their lunch time and some money to help them make even more sandwiches to "give back" and help out the soup kitchen. 

The team has been hard at work from our home offices this past month (and we even have some helpers joining us too!) In the midst of this global crisis, we want to ensure you that we are working hard to provide the services and support you need, no matter where we are.

David Owens participated in OTG Management's 2020 Evolution Summit with a Health Benefits Activation Booth. OTG's managers, directors, and other leaders had the opportunity to view a video library on health benefits in order to be exposed to information they otherwise may not have known, making their lives easier through a fun and interactive experience. Another successful Ugly Sweater Day! Happy Holidays from all of us at Hilb Group!

Earlier this month the E.B. Cohen team volunteered at City Harvest's Repack to Give Back. During this week-long event, City Harvest hosts volunteers from all across New York to repack rescued fresh produce and non-perishable food into meal boxes for those in need. 7,671 pounds of apples were repacked for distribution to soup kitchens and food pantries across New York City.
